Q. What are your deposit and cancellation policies?
A. 50% of total is due to secure your reservation. Balance is due one month before arrival. Cancellations must be made 60 days or more prior to stay for full refund less a $35 administration fee. If deposit was made by credit card, 3% of total paid will be deducted from refund.
 
Q. How does check-in and check-out work? 
A. Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am. 15 days before your stay we email you the code to the locked key-box adjacent to the front door. The keys are in the key-box. At check-out lock the door and replace the keys in the key-box. 
 
Q. What should I do if I need assistance while at the cabin?
A. You have immediate access to the owners Karen and Jeff via email or phone. Our manager Jess is a few miles up the road in Cooke City and she can assist should you need anything. Contact information provided in your Arrival email.
 
Q. Is there wireless internet at the cabin?
A. Yes.  
 
Q. Is there a washer and dryer on the premises?
A. Yes, both cabins have washer and dryers.
 
Q. Can I bring pets?
A. No, we do not allow pets.  
 
Q. Is there a maximum number of people?
A. Yes, we have an 6 guest maximum at The Lamar and an 8 guest maximum at Silver Falls. 
 
Q. What are the nearest airports to Yellowstone?

A. Logan International Airport in Billings, MT is approximately 3 hours/180 miles from the North Entrance of the park. 

B. Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport in Bozeman, MT is approximately 1.5 hours/85 miles from North Entrance of the park.

C. Jackson Hole Airport, Jackson, WY, which is approximately 1 hour/50 miles from the South Entrance of the Park. 

D. Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody, WY is approximately 1 hour/55 miles from the East Entrance of the park. 

E. West Yellowstone Airport in West Yellowstone, MT offers seasonal air service and is approximately seven miles from the West Entrance of the park.

 

Q. Where can I get groceries?

A. It's best to buy groceries before you arrive in Silver Gate. Gardiner, Cody, Red Lodge, Jackson Hole, and Livingston all have large grocery stores. There are small convenient stores in the area but have limited selections.
 
Q. What should I expect the weather to be?
Yellowstone National Park is a high elevation destination and receives unpredictable alpine weather patterns and temperature ranges. In summer, lows can reach the 40’s and highs in the low 80’s. 
 
Q. Is there cell phone service?
There is spotty coverage around the park, and no cell service in Silver Gate. The closest place we can reliably get coverage is at Tower Junction.
